Erin O'Loughlin

:: biography ::

I have been a maker and creative soul my whole life. New materials and different making techniques keep me motivated to continue to push myself creatively. While my background is in architecture, I recently spent four years  living and working as the ceramics studio manager in Arcosanti, AZ: an ever-growing prototype of Italian architect Paolo Soleri’s solution to suburban sprawl: the ARCOLOGY, blending architecture with the surrounding ecology. There, I learned to work with ceramics, metal, and concrete. My own line, Scattered Materials, is a collection of my creations that involves playing and experimenting with new materials and new techniques.

I currently live in Flagstaff, AZ where I am pursuing my professional license to practice architecture.
